I. PARTNERS

BETH SHAPIRO, New York, New York, 1948. Ms. Shapiro graduated from Hofstra University in 1980. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1980. Ms. Shapiro is a trial attorney specializing in defense litigation, including first party insurance claims. She has lectured on trial practice at the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and at Hofstra University, New York County Lawyers and NITA Program. Ms. Shapiro is a member of the Queens County Bar Association, past member of the Board of Managers Grievance Committee, and the Queens County Judicial Screening Committee. She is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Ms. Shapiro has been associated with the firm since 1980 and has been a member of the firm since 1986.

LEWIS ROSENBERG, born Boston, Massachusetts, 1938. Mr. Rosenberg obtained his undergraduate degree at Suffolk University, Boston, Massachusetts in 1960 and received his J.D. Degree at Boston College in 1963; Harvard Law School, International Studies 1962 - 1963; LL.M. at New York University in 1972. He was admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar in 1963 and the New York State Bar in 1964. He is a past member of the Committee of Medicine and Law and is presently a member of the Committee on Medical Malpractice of The Association of the New York Bar, and a past member of New York County Lawyers' Association Committee on Aviation Law. He is a joint author of The Association of the Bar Report on the Malpractice Crisis, 1974. He has published in the Massachusetts Law Quarterly, Boston College Commercial and Industrial Law Review, Cavitch, Business Organization with Tax Planning (Matthew Bender, 1990). Mr. Rosenberg has lectured on trial related subjects at The Practicing Law Institute and the New York State Trial Lawyers' Association, and was a member of the Adjunct faculty of NYU's Real Estate Institute. Before joining the firm in 1976, Mr. Rosenberg was Principal Trial Attorney for The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and appeared for more than a decade as counsel in Maritime and Aviation matters of all types in State and Federal Courts and before administrative agencies. He has been a member of the firm since 1977 and is admitted as a member of the bar of the Courts of New York and Massachusetts Bar, the United States District Court for Massachusetts and for the Southern and Eastern District of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. In 1995, Mr. Rosenberg successfully argued an appeal before the United States Supreme Court in a matter arising under the Jones Act.

DAVID S. ARONOWITZ, born New York, New York, 1961. Mr. Aronowitz received his undergraduate degree at Hobart College in 1982 and obtained his J.D. Degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1986. Mr. Aronowitz is a member of the Tort Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association; the Kings County Bar Association, and Judicial Screening Committee. Mr. Aronowitz is a partner with the firm, specializing in the trial of high exposure personal injury defense litigation.

ROY KARLIN, born Kings County, New York, 1949. Mr. Karlin obtained his undergraduate degree from Union College in 1971 Cum Laude with distinction in Sociology. He received his J.D. Degree from Albany Law School in 1975. He authored "HOW STATE AND FEDERAL LAW CAN EFFECT YOUR SENIORITY SYSTEM," Equal Opportunity Compliance Manual, Volume 2, Report 12, March 20, 1981. Mr. Karlin is a member of the New York County Lawyers' Association and the New York State Bar Association - Trust and Estate Section. He is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts. Mr. Karlin concentrates primarily on general litigation, appellate practice, business law, trusts and wills, estate administration and employment law. He has been associated with the firm since 1980 and became a partner with the firm in 1986.

JEFFREY M. JUDD, born Rochester, New York, 1958. Mr. Judd received his B.A. in Theater Arts at the State University of New York at Albany in 1980 and earned his J.D. at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the International Law Journal and President, Art and Entertainment Law Society. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1990 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. His associations include the American Bar Association, The New York State Bar Association, Associaition of Trial Lawyers of America and New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Judd specializes in personal injury defense litigation and first party claims and litigation. He has been associated with the firm since 1993 and became a partner with the firm in 2000.

SANDRA L. BONDER, born New York, New York. Ms. Bonder received her undergraduate degree from Barnard College, Columbia University, 1986, Magna Cum Laude. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1990. She was admitted to United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1994. She is a member of the New York State Bar and New Jersey State Bar. Ms. Bonder specializes in premises liability, automobile/insurance coverage, labor law, products liability and subrogation and first party claim litigation. Se has been associated with the firm since 1995 and became a partner with the firm in 2003.

DAVID D. MELTZER, born Bronx, New York, 1957. Mr. Meltzer received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Boston University in 1979. Subsequently, he received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1984. From 1980 to 1984 he was a Trial Preparation Specialist in the Homicide Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney's Office. From 1985 to present, Mr. Meltzer has worked primarily in the field of defense litigation specializing in auto and premises liability, lead liability and products liability. Mr. Meltzer is a member of the New York County lawyers Association and is admitted to practice in the Courts of the state of New York and in the United States District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has been associated with the firm since 1998 and became a partner with the firm in 2003.

ANGELA THOMPSON-TINSLEY, born Chadron, Nebraska, 1968. Ms. Thompson received her undergraduate degree from Long Island University - C.W. Post College in 1991, Summa Cum Laude. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1994. She was admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. While attending law school, Ms. Thompson served as a Law Intern to Honorable I. Leo Glasser, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York; a Sparer Public Interest Fellow at Gay Men's Health Crisis Legal Services; a member of the Brooklyn Law School Trial Advocacy Team (Regional Quarter-finalist 1993-1994); a member of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law 1992-1994 (Executive Articles Editor 1993-1994). Ms. Thompson is the author of "International Protection of Women's Rights: An Analysis of Open Door Counseling Ltd., and Dublin Well Woman Center v. Ireland," Boston University International Law Journal, Vol. 12, No. 2 (Fall 1994). Ms. Thompson is a member of New York County Lawyers Association and New York State Medical Defense Bar Association. Ms. Thompson-Tinsley specializes in medical malpractice defense and personal injury litigation. She has been an associate of the firm since 1994 and became a partner in 2004.

LAURA E. SHER, born Staten Island, New York, 1971. Ms. Sher is a graduate of Amherst College. She earned her J. D. Degree from Rutgers University School of Law. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1997 and New Jersey State Bar in 1996. Ms. Sher was also admitted to the Third Circuit in 1998. Ms. Sher is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Association. Ms. Sher is the supervisor of the no-fault litigation department.

II. ASSOCIATES

MARISA PARDO, born Brooklyn, New York, 1969. Ms. Pardo received her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1990 and her J.D. from Hofstra University Law School in 1993. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1994 and the Florida State Bar in 1995, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Ms. Pardo is a member of the New York County Bar Association and is an associate with the firm specializing in special injury litigation.

WILLIAM A. FITZGERALD, born Boston, Massachusetts, 1959. Mr. Fitzgerald received his undergraduate degree from Queens College, City University of New York, in 1980. He attended the University of Connecticut School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1983. He earned a Master of Science degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 1984. He was admitted to the bar in 1984 and is also admitted to practice before the Southern District and the Eastern District of the U.S. District Court, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Since 1985, Mr. Fitzgerald has represented civil litigants in diverse cases, through verdict and appeal. He also serves as a volunteer arbitrator at Civil Court, Queens County in small-claims court. Mr. Fitzgerald is a trial associate with the firm, specializing in the defense of personal-injury matters. He became associated with the firm in 2003.

SAMANTHA STORM, born Tom's River, New Jersey, 1972. Ms. Storm received her undergraduate degree from New York University in 1994, and earned her J.D. from the University of Hawaii School of Law, in 1999. She was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar in 1999, the California State Bar in 2001, and the New York State Bar in 2002. She was admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii in 1999. Ms. Storm is an associate with the firm specializing in personal injury defense litigation.

DAWN K. SHWARTZ, born Paterson, New Jersey, 1974. Ms. Shwartz earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude in 1997 from Southern Connecticut State University. She earned her J.D. from Western New England College School of Law in 2002, where she was a member of the National Trial Competition Team (2001, 2002) and also interned as a student Assistant District Attorney at the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office. Under a student practice order Ms. Shwartz handled arraignments, bail hearings, motion hearings and bench trials for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Ms. Shwartz was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2003 and is a member of the New York State Bar Association. She is currently an associate with the firm specializing in no-fault litigation.

LINDSAY R. KAPLOW, born Manhasset, New York, 1982. Ms. Kaplow received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2004. She attended New York Law School, earned her J.D. in 2007. Ms. Kaplow was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2008 and is currently an associate with the firm specializing in no-fault litigation.
